Protest Trucks Demand ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Leave the Group Following Dating Scandal

On December 17, a group of Chinese anti-fans and solo stans raised over 5,000 CNY to hire a protest truck calling for Jungwon’s removal from the group. The protest, which includes placing wreaths outside HYBE’s building as a symbolic gesture, is set to take place soon. Despite efforts from Jungwon’s Chinese fans to stop the first truck, the protesters were able to arrange another one through intermediaries, showing their persistence.
On December 19, a protest truck appeared at KBS’s recording studios during ENHYPEN’s pre-recording for the Gayo Daejun event. The truck carried messages criticizing Jungwon over recent scandals, including dating rumors with aespa’s Winter, which had already been denied by both individuals.
One of the messages displayed on the truck read, “Legendarily filial idol. Yang Jungwon’s double life also has no doubt.”

Another called for his withdrawal from the group, “Provoking fans by dating, smoking, then lying. Yang Jungwon, leave the group. You can debut again in a hookah bar.”
These statements also referenced an alleged visit by Jungwon to a bar that reportedly doubles as a private hookah establishment and smoking.
This protest is part of a larger campaign of hostility from these anti-fans, who have been accused of spreading false rumors, adding fake details to existing stories, and using malicious online posts to stir public anger.
They have created groups specifically targeting Jungwon and using harmful language that damages his reputation and emotional well-being. Moreover, the other party of the dating rumor, These actions have continued even after HYBE and Jungwon personally denied the allegations.
Additionally, as hate campaigns continued, Belift Lab, the agency of Jungwon has started legal actions in response.
